Contest Dates...update
Just got word that the fair boards in Urbana and Manteno have agreed to have us back this year. Along with this I have been trying to get with other Illinois promoters to see when they'd like to host a contest or two, or three.
Here are the dates we are looking at (more will be added):
- June 18: Jakked Powercorp Challenge, Montgomery, IL
- August ???? Montgomeryfest...date pending
- September 25th: Illinois Strongest Man, Manteno, IL
- October 2nd: Morton Strongest Man, Morton, IL
- October 23rd: IL Hercules (series final), St. Anne, IL
2010 IL Hercules
Since the 2009 IL Hercules had been canceled due to low turnout, most likely from the time of the year we had set aside for it, we are setting up the 2010 IL Hercules so that athletes qualified in 2009 AND 2010 are eligible to compete in the Finals. The top three from each wt class/ division have qualified for the 2010 IL Hercules.
The tentitive date and events for the 2010 IL Hercules:
- Oct. 23rd, 2010
- St. Anne, IL @ the local Park Pavilion
- Events
- Max Log
- Tire Flip
- Keg Toss/ reps
- Car deadlift Hold
- Atlas Stones

ILSA E-ZINE
Our current project is a ILSA E-Zine. The goal is to launch it in March of this year. Most likely the E-Zine will be quarterly (4 times a year). Stay tuned to this site for updates.

2010 IL SEASON
Usaully we prefer to get in all the information for a season a number of months before the actual season "begins". The first contest of the 2010 Illinois Strength Series Series was the Olde Time Strongman Challenge, Montgomery, IL at Jakked Hardcore Gym.

Equipment Update:
We have been able to reduce the price of our 10" Logs and 12" logs due to a new design. Still the same thickness and heavy duty construction but instead of a closed-end design we've opted for a open-ended design which cut material costs.
