Update January 31st, 2012:
-Unfortunitely it looks as if the 2012 Chicago Giants Live! pro show will not take place. Once more information comes in we will be sure to post it here.
Update January 22nd, 2012:
Each one of the meets listed on our contest page will be a qualifier for our Illinois Strongest Man 2012
The top three from each weight class from each of these meets will qualify for the Illinois Strongest Man 2012.
The top two overall athletes from the Illinois Strongest Man 2012 will qualify for one of Tom Zwolen's pro shows. It is looking to be the Chicago Giants Live! set for 2013.
If the deal goes thru between Tom Zwolen and WSM, the Chicago Giants Live! pro show will be a qualifier for the World's Strongest Man.
Also, Tom has agreed to allow the overall top two from our last ILSM (2011) to compete in the 2012 Chicago Giants Live! pro show.
More info will be added as it comes in.

- CONGRATS! to LW Adam Corra and HW Ryan Rice for winning the Illinois Strongest Man this year. Adam actually won the overall title as well.

We would like to thank everyone involved with the meet. It was a pleasure to meet everyone. The athletes and staff gave their all and the spectators rallied behind the athletes. All in all, a really good day.

The contest is a go.
Athletes, the venue will be down Main Street between 3rd and 4th Ave. The contest will take place near the park on the north end on Main Street.

- I will update the status of the ILLINOIS STRONGEST MAN 2011 by Monday or Tuesday night. We may get a couple of more entries by then. If not we may either have a rather small meet or cancel the meet altogether.
- The 2012 season is starting with a few changes...
**The ILLINOIS STRONGEST MAN 2012 will be the Series final. You must qualify for the ILSM in 2012.
** We will accept athletes who have qualified in both 2011 and 2012.
We will be updating this site as more information becomes finalized.

The ILSM will not be sanctioned however it is a qualifier for the Illinois Hercules (Series Final). The top three from each wt class qualifies.
The format of the contest enables the athletes to not only compete within their own weight classes, but also compete against everyone else. Thus we will be able to see who IS the strongest overall.

- Just a reminder...if you have any ideas, suggestions, gripes, or concerns, we'd like to here them. We're always looking for ways to improve. A good rule of thumb is to look at the organization as if you were in charge. How would you set it up, run it, make it better?
- We are looking to change the structure of our Club/ ILSA a little. Keep an eye on this site for future updates.
